Just thought I'd throw this out there...
I live in Salinas - 12 miles from the track.
Can accommodate some floor space if you bring a sleeping bag or air mattress. You're more than welcome to mail anything here in advance. I'll pull my truck out of the garage to provide secure parking and also have a lift, tools, oil etc if you need to wrench on your bike. PLenty of parking in my backyard for any overlow of bikes.
Just thought this could help folks offset any lodging costs.
Just to be very clear, There is no cost in staying here. I started opening my house to out of towners in 2003 for GP after learning some were spending a ton of dollars just for lodging! It made me sick to my stomach. Your hard earned money should be spent on having fun dammit!
Let me know if anyone is interested on the offer.  so I can let the boss know to expect visitors during GP weekend. If you have valuables or weapons, I can store them in my safe.
