2008 1000cc Track test
Motociclismo has tested new 1000cc bikes on track, video: http://videos.motociclismo.es/video/iLyROoaft5Xo.html
Times:
1. Kawasaki zx10r: 1.43.043
2. Suzuki gsx-r 1000: 1.43.664
3. Honda fireblade: 1.43.801
4. Yamaha r1: 1.43.986

See that statement in the picture top right "Kaeasaki's suspension is far too hard for the road" blah blah blah.....
This makes my point. The ZX10 may be king of the dyno but as the all around performing sportbike the Honda will prevail.
Dyno numbers mean squat on the race track or twisties these litre bikes are designed for 
But lets see when some realible shootouts get printed

Ofcourse Honda is good all-rounder as it always was: weak engine and soft suspension...reminds me my first bike: YZF 600 R . Low power soft suspension, very good all round bike , LOL
But we need extreem and sharp funfactory on two wheels

Bulers> yea MCN have Honda fastest (0.2sec faster than Kawi) but MCN have crap riders and their lap times are 3sec slower on ALL four bikes on the same track!! They should be baned from testing new 1000cc superbikes!

The test riders include the ones you quoted before as "serious" , De Gea, Fuchs, Mazzali, Nashimoto. Do you only believe things if they support your case?

MCN never had true racers in their team, that can push bikes _on_the_track_ to their limits.
They posted lap times from that rider who managed to be first with Honda! LOL

You read the test, 2 gp racers, 2 national racers and a club racer/journo. Two went fastest on the zx, 3 went fastest on the cbr.

I think that the Kawi is sprung for a 150lbs VERY FAST rider and yes thats way to stiff for a semi fast 200lbs rider. Who cares if they dont like the suspension its obviouse they have no clue what they're talking about if they're 3 secounds slower than every one else. Anyways the fisrt thing im doing when i get my 2 08 ZX-10R's is throw away the stock suspension and put in the Ohlins TTX rear and 25mm cartriges in the front and then some other goodies.
