2008 buzzing 2500-4000k rpm

Hi guys,

New owner of an '08 10R. I did a search and found no results but does anyone have issue w/ the bike buzzing / vibrating considerably between 2,500 and 4k rpms? The dealer's service dept. says that it is the cam chain tensioner and that they all do it. But it really doesn't sound like the noise is coming from the engine, imo. Any thoughts?

Thanks,
Scott

Answered my own question. I've heard it can be a few different things, but after going for a ride, standing on the pegs and carefully leaning forward, I determined the buzz was coming from the pointed ends of the front fairing around the headlight. After getting home, I carefully pried the corners up with a small flat tip screwdriver and inserted a small piece of rolled up electrical tape on each side. There is still a very small bit of noise coming from elsewhere, but that little trick eliminated probably 95% of the irritating vibration.
