On-Off Switch Question

My track bike (04 ZX10r) which was stolen was recovered but the thieves ripped out the ignition switch and tried to hot wire it. Instead of buying a stock switch I thought about just putting an on-off switch there so no key would be needed. Has anyone done this? What kind of switch did you use? The only con I can think of is to make sure not to leave the switch on and kill the battery. Any help or suggestions here??

Thanks!!

get a scorpion alarm with pager and wireless proximity switch, more money than a switch but more secure than a key. I think they cost around $400,

that or hide the switch in some very obscure place, but positioned where you can reach it without being obvious where you have hidden it. I like the micro combination switches too.
