GPS? Fish did you mention a while back you would be testing a new GPS, and has it been tested? I can't seem to find an article anywhere, and I'm in the market for a GPS. Perhaps somebody that sponsers your forum I'll throw some business at. Certainly I want the latest and greatest that I won't feel is antique in a few months.
Any GPS suggestions will be appreciated.
I went across a long bridge in Tampa with a 'busa and said "wow my speedometer said we were going X" and he said OK thats with some error but look at my GPS...and it said "top speed X" I was sold at that moment! He said his is an older unit so I didn't pay much attention to brand/model.

No worries I hope I didn't come across like that, I just remembered a while back I thought you mentioned something was coming. Didn't know if it had posted and I couldn't find it.
Asides, I waited forever for the ZX14, waiting for the latest and greatest model GPS is not a prob!
Thanks again

The Zumo 550 was slated for release last week, but has been bumped up to 11/1 now. Latest from Garmin.

got the c 550 auto unit with stem mount and rx 65 bel. c550 is great. rode to maine a few weeks back and never got lost. mp3 player and xm worked great and blue tooth is the way to go. auto unit is not weather proof but a zip lock bag helps if the weather gets wet .

That Zumo looks awesome except for the 3 hr battery time, but I'm guessing you can tie it in to the bike's power. I don't have any experience with hooking accessories to a bike.
Can anyone recommend a helmet audio system to go with this? I'll be putting it in a Shoei helmet if possible.

2 wires to connect to bike -- power and ground. Don't waste your time running on batteries on the bike. Google a Bluetooth helmet setup..there are a lot of choices.

Garmin 60C being used...awesome little piece, mounted on my forearm...with straps of course.
I used the Garmin 2820 in both my cars...nice little system.
paid $175 for the 60C and $479 for the 2820s last year. Gotta love connections.

When you quote such idiotic prices for things a 2820, which by the way, DID NOT EXIST prior to this summer, I have to say that not only are you a liar, but a bad one at that...So, how do you have one since last year, at least 6 months before they were available to ANYONE else in this world? I guess you got a used 2720, not a 2820 - do you know the difference
I don't hate you, that would be a waste of a perfectly good emotion...I just responded to your total lack of credibilty in general, the same that you have on the subject of HID's. Now...how much would you like to bet against me? Would you like to argue the exact release date and price of the 2820? BTW, the GPSMAP60C was discontinued last year...it has been replaced by the 60CX...back in 05.
Don't mess with me in regards to Garmin...you clearly have no idea what you are talking about or to who you are talking too about it...do some research ____________

My bad FBA...you are correct and I'm not afraid to admit I'm wrong, typo error. So here it is:
Correction: Street Pilot 2720 No harm no foul....but knowing you,...you'll have a 3 paragraph retort.....
I do have the 60C and I'm aware that it was discontinued last year and replaced by the "CX" There's still a ton of them laying around, still going for $250 -$350 retail cost. No BS on my part on what I paid for them. Like I said, it's nice knowing people...great deals galore.
Don't push the HID issue, it's reality...in JAPAN! Take the HID hype back to the "HID Revisited" thread. ...the wine and cheese is waiting for ya there....

Or maybe it was a 2610 and GPS60? -- ya think?
Don't need a 3 paragraph retort for you...would be a waste of good bandwidth!

I will be getting the Zumo for less than $800 shipped, from the inside. Wanna talk about connections? Assuming she still works there though...

How's that after the edit? Still true, but real price not disclosed! ED prices are crazy compared to MSRP at over $1000.
