I'm sure that the next meet you take the 14 to will result in some unreal speed. If you're going to this next one with better air and hopefully accurate speed traps the world will see something amazing from the 14 and Chad. Chad is a hometown hero for me so I'm always pulling for him. AND the 14 is a Kawasaki which is a religion at my house

I really don't consider most of what is said as bashing. It's people stating their brand preference. More of the Chevy vs. Ford vs. Dodge over which is better. Depends. For whom and what is the intended use.

I'm glad there are competing companies out there. Keeps them motivated to continually improve their product to become or maintain their status as the best.

I prefer Brock's stuff. But that is just me.

A bone stock bike did 196 mph. by just changing the front sprocket didn't it??
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Yup 196.1 but 196.1 is a long way from 200 MPH......It takes a lot to get that extra 3.9 MPH ...

Yes, 6.1% more.

No 12% would get you up to about 203.6

That's been beaten already. Mike Grainger, owner of GT Motorcycles, did 198.7mph at Woodbridge UK, September 3rd on a totally stock 14, even the gearing was stock. Class rules required mirrors left on and ride height normal. Only thing added was a Speedo Healer.

There's been some good, friendly competition over on this side of the pond for sure.
Aaron Frank (Super Streetbike editor and accomplished road racer) showed up
at Maxton with the same idea as Brock -- to be the first to go 200 MPH on a
ZX-14.

Aaron came pretty loaded: A Muzzy-ed out ZX-14 with M-10 exhaust, air
shifter, forged lightweight wheels and dry nitrous. He had the bike tuned by
a road race tuner friend of his and seemed to have his act together. Brock
said that Aaron told him the bike made 187 on the dyno.

Aaron's wheels and the timing lights were giving him fits as a majority of
his runs did not register up on the timing equipment. He was allowed to make
runs afterward without waiting due to the trouble. I believe his best on
horsepower was 187 MPH and his best on nitrous was a rev-limiter hitting 196
MPH. Brock wanted his bike to go 200 first no matter what which is why he
had Chad ride his 14 on Sunday morning.

I heard Brock teasing Aaron that he went faster without nitrous (198+) than
Aaron did with the nitrous even though Aaron is about 20 lbs lighter. Aaron
wanted to go 200 so bad that one of the other guys let him ride a turbo
Busa. On the Busa he ran 204. Of course, then he started teasing Brock
about who was faster.

FYI: They were BOTH outrun by a girl on the Turbo Busa. She ran almost 205.

I had the same thing happen at our JD9 meeting. The fastest woman in our club ( and possibly in the UK ) did 205.4 the same speed as me on my 14, so she's still talking to me.
