Gadson 08 zx14 with a Muzzy pipe 197 HP

This is Ricky Gadson post from another bike form..............

I know you guys aren't going to believe me but, as my name is Rickey Gadson, I swear all results are true and honest!

I wanted to post Dyno results in stages, but Frank must have a lock on pictures, as I have not been able to post graphs since last week sometime.

I find it hard to believe myself but, this 2008 ZX14 is....what it is!
I wouldn't associate my name with this if I did not think I could duplicate it with any 08 ZX14.

UPDATE...UPDATE...UPDATE

Today I received my new Prototype exhaust pipe from Muzzys which he has been extensively testing with the 1530cc\ 240hp pkg.

It looks like the M-10 with different dimensions, but it obviously works!

I dynoed the 08 today with now 119 miles on it, and it made 179.6.
One hr later I was ready to go back on the dyno as to keep the conditions the same.

The graph went from 179hp to 188hp with pump gas.
After a few runs to heat cycle the bike it jump up to 190.
A few more cycles and bam.......191.4
On the next run the bike started to run out of fuel and made more hp because it leaned out before it ran out.

That told me it was gonna love U4.....and luv it did.
4 runs lata 197.0 but what was unbelievable was the torque..................120 ftlbs with NO tuning!!
DAAAAAAAAAMMMMMMNNNN!

Lets recap all mods from crate til now:

lowered front and rear
Ceramic wheel bearings(World wide bearings)
no filter
Muzzys new (M-14) pipe
-1 tooth on rear (40 tooth)
U 4 fuel

things still stock:

chain(til tomorrow)
No Power commander
tire
secondarys still in place

will post graph when possible.

I pick mine up Wednesday. I'll be sure to post lottsa pics! So far, the only things I'm doing, are moving the Gen3, HID's, Throttlemeisters and the Helibar risers from the 06 to the 08. I ordered a PC3 from Brock, but I'm not removing the flies until I know what the real story is with them at low speeds. I have 16/43's on order from Brock as well.

I got the Midnight Sapphire Blue; didn't like that flame bullshit with them red wheels

Can't wait!!
Well, so far...I'm pissed. There's no sliver in Canada; not off to a good start...LOL

Once again, thank God for Rickey Gadson. Without whom I seriously doubt we would get the real deal so early on.

So isn't that about 6 or 7 hp over what Brock got on his 06 piped and tuned with MR9?

Ya, but RG has no PC3 on it yet, so that's not tuned...add another 10 after more miles and tuning...

Another 10 would be awsome but I think that's a bit optimistic. I may be wrong but we'll see. From the stock dyno charts it was already running rich on top end. The pipe is just leaning it out and putting it closer to where it should be.

So, exactly what is the hp difference between 06/07 and 08 bone stock??? I see all these different numbers floating around, various states of tune etc... I can't imagine its worth trading in my 6 mo. old bike.

Guys look at it this way Brocks bike with a tune , Smeg and MR9 made 195 hp and 197 with the alien head exhaust ...But that was with a p/c and tune ... Ricky bike was just a pipe and u4 and not mr9 like brocks ... We know the 06 numbers stock were an AVG of 169 and RG numbers for the 08 are 175 to 179 stock ... that's a gain of 6 to 8 HP over the 06 zx14 and that is just what Kawi tolds us it would be .. So when it all said and done piped and tuned 7 to 10 hp is going to be the deal.... Now 7 to 10 hp is going to mean a tenth of a second and maybe a tiny bit more because of the extra TQ A tenth of a second would put me in the low to mid 8.60s from my best of 8.77 in the 1/4 mile...Maybe even better with 120 TQ ...
One other item , these zx14 don't really start to run good till you get a 1000 miles on them ...Just ask tonytooth , his zx14 on the dyno picked up 7 hp after he got 1000 miles on his bike with no changes other than the extra miles ... Mine didn't make its best ETs and MPH till i had 1000 miles on it .. I think when Brock gets one all Brocked out you will see 203 to 205 hp ....7 to 10 hp is one hell of a gain just ask any drag racer ... Look at what Carpender charges for a 205 or 210 hp engine....Gives you something to think about doesn't it ... Smokin..

those numbers sound about the same as the 06 brock did with his pipe and pc with mr9.
the only differance is that
rg has not used pc.but how much tune can you do if it ran lean.if air fuel ratio was around 13 to1 than pc may not changed that much on top.if it was still way rich with fuel than i could see 5 more hp.

The MMSB will make you forget all the other colors!
In the sunlight, metallic blue close to the sun fading to black away - the effect is awesome!

SO THAT REASON to go out and spend 11k to gain 10hp MAYBE over your current bike.... AND run MAYBE a tenth or so....and anybody that stupid enough to pay them carpenter prices for a built motor over a turbo..... should get a built motor

Dude, it cost me less than 4k to upgrade to a brand new bike after 25K on my 06 with two seasons on it -- not to mention another year of warranty and oh -- did I mention -- a BRAND FUCKING NEW BIKE? Where do you come up with 11k? You forget about the trade-in value of the other bike?
