Pics of a few mods to my new 14....

I bought a leftover '09 last month & while I like the green it seemed to be a tad flashy for this old man. My oldest son Zack has a black 14 and my youngest has a silver one. I asked both about swapping and Chad jumped on it since he's had the silver over a year, he was ready for a change. I had a silver '08 and loved the color.

At 249 miles we dropped the motor, pulled the head and had Coby Adams do some work on it. While waiting on the head we swapped bodywork.
Got my CT installed with a PC-V and a BMC filter. I bought a kit from OSR to install a set of 10 wheels I just had powdercoated, haven't got them on yet but went with black after seeing the silver with my black 14 wheels.

I've put about 200 miles on it the past couple days and it feels good.

Zoldar,
Both my sons have the CT on their 14's and after seeing the fit & finish along with the performance this was the pipe for me. The sound is great and it tucks up better than anything else I've seen.

Warbird,
Shannon at OSR was great to deal with, very prompt and he delivered a simple and neat conversion kit. I had a ton of questions and was always very, very helpful.

Shane,
I've been riding it this week with the Adams head but I put on the pipe and stuff at the same time so to say it's a bit faster is an understatement!! :-)
Everything else including cam timing is stock, the 14's need a compression bump and he just cleaned up the head while it was there.

Thanks guys for the compliments. I've missed racing with the boys and felt the 14 was a good bike for my needs. The 12 will get going as soon as I receive the motor I bought.

Dan

I'd probably go with the green. Then again I'm 29 years old. I can understand the not wanting something flashy for an older guy. Silver still looks great.

Are you gonna ride street with the 10 wheels? If so could you let us know how it improves performance and if they hold up?

I like that the bike is all performance. Nothing flashy but with the head work done and the ct you know that thing kicks serious ass.

These 14's are great bikes. Love mine.

Trust me there are days my right rotator cup hurts and arm gets a little numb from landing a wheelie. Or just the torque if the bike and 16/43 gears :-) The reason I have the old school 7/8 Super Bike bars for road trips to mountains.
