Part of the zx10 traction control is closing the secondary flies, I believe that is the first thing it does.

I figured you wouldn't use tc anyway, just putting the info out for others that it MIGHT affect traction control.

Won't that cause big problems with dyno tuning ?

The TC doesn't work with the 2ndaries. TC is a front wheel to rear wheel function. If you switch the TC to the most traction at lower power, you can actually hear the bike cutting the spark and a limiter cutting in. My 2011 zx10 has this feature as well to include three power levels instead of two.

I have removed my 2ndaries as well.... You really don' t want to race the bike with TC on, it will cut the power when it senses the different wheel speeds

The zx10 does use the secondaries as the first line of defense, with them being removed it may just go to its second line of defense (cutting spark) and you may not notice a difference.

This is a quote from Ghul Motors: "We have found the traction control code and it does use the secondary throttle plates as part of the traction control. Let us know if you have any additional questions". Thanks, Don Guhl Guhl Motors

I would be the 14 is the same way. I agree that for a racer traction control is useless.

on the 06-07 it absolutely necessary. On the 08-11 it will gain a little bottom end but doesn't have to be done. Jury is out on the 2012 because no one has really been able to test yet.
