All relevant to the hands of the pilot... In my lifetimes I've won many races turned around a swapped bikes and won that race to. Never underestimate what a shitty rider can do to slow down a fast bike. Unlike cars going fast on a bike requires skills that aren't easily mastered. When a guys jumps 3 or 4 lengths out on every gear change it's nearly impossible to make that up even if you're on a bike with equal power. At best you'll sit 15 to 20 lengths off his rear tire until it's over. Fastest bike doesn't always win. In fact it seldom wins and what's even more rare than that is the best rider on the fastest bike that combination never loses. Those are guys like Rickey Gadson etc... He's fast and always rides a well prepped fast bike. A winning combination
