2009 R1s for $10,995: its a new bike buyers market!
There are places giving away R1s. At these prices, I may be adding a new bike to the stall. One may drive a few miles, but its worth the effort.

Congrats! The yellow looks even better in person!
I took the white/ red for a quick test ride today and liked it a lot

Of course that fender has to go! Im waiting to see what they have out for it. The bike sounds awesome as is though. She is mean
I didn't even break her in yet and she feels like a beast in standard mode. I am very impressed with yamaha. I am going to write up a riding impression soon. The only thing is that its kind of cold out here in new york so i didnt get much seat time as of yet. So to be continued....but as of now if you have the means....I Highly recommend it .

wow! I wonder how you got them to do that. I wish i could have test rode one. I thought most dealerships dont allow that. Let me
find out. Im sure if i would have test rode it, it would have made me more in love with her before i bought it. She will be a serious

I've bought 4 new bikes from this same dealership since 05.
They just can't say no to me I guess

Yes, I am looking into getting that cowl as well. Makes the bike look alot better. How much do those normally run? I really like the way the graves exhaust looks on the 09 R1. Im gonna wait on choosing an exhaust and see how they all stack up against each other. I just wonder if an exhaust would change that mean sound that it has already. If so I wouldnt change the stock exhaust at all. It sounds like music...i love it. I need to get rid of that fender...its really bothering me. looks like an alien antler.

rtear seat cowl is a few hundred bucks. the new exhaust will take that nice crank-plane sound and make it 1000 times better.

Nice looking bike....something special about a new bike....like a sense of proper order about it....
Then they get tampered with....mods mods mods....
Good enough never is ... 
I think the main thing is to spend what ya can afford and simply enjoy what ya have .....
new bikes are nice...

That is a good deal...but I think I'd take a NEW '08 ZX-10R for $8k...they are all over Ebay...

Yes it is. This bike is great IMO. My friend picked one up at the beginning of 08 and he loves it. I rode it and like it alot. Cant go wrong for that price. Good bang for your buck.

The '08 ZX10 isn't the only left over bike you can get that cheap.... none of the 4 Jap makers sold what they predicted and produced because of the economy dump.
Its reported the ZX10s sold less than any of the litre bikes in '08 and we're not seeing many on the streets, I suspect that one could be had for real REAL cheap.
