Yea, i bought my last bike based on their results! lol....

The funny part is... If you look on the cover they themselves even admit they're not good enough to be legitimately be testing these bikes.....

The funny part is ... you are going to run out of "answers" before we run out of shootouts where the Honda beats the Kawi. LOL

I bought the blade before any group tests because i believed it would be the best road bike, it's just nice to see we're moving towards concensus by majority.

When you guys do track days what class do you run in? Just curious? Cuz, I do understand an easier to ride bike allowing one to go faster. I tend to get everything a literbike can offer on the track so, I base my general direction on how an expert gets around the track on a bike. I'll sacrifice alittle plushness or lower end power for that peak power becuase a good rider can take advantage of keeping it where the power is as opposed to falling out of the range & needing more mid-range to save me. Curious to see where roadracing world puts these bikes? But, I will respect if the CBR comes out on top. Just think the ZX10 will be the faster bike with the better rider.

that would not explain why the GSXR1K keeps winning?

I ride in the fast group but i keep my road bike off the track and my track bike (gsxr750) off the road. I think if you're serious about track riding, which it sounds like you are, a stock bike is too much of a compromise. If i was going to build a track specific litre bike i'd probably start with a K5/6 GSXR1000. Thy're definitely still doing the business in the fast group at UK track days and with the club racers, lots of spares, advice and kit available.

I'm dying to see some more comparisons because the two i've seen so far are both UK mags. A slightly more 'forgiving' litre bike is definitely a plus for our roads.

I'm also dying for a go on the ZX10 but as i've already bought the 'blade i'd feel a bit of a fraud taking one from the dealers.

Are you getting a 08 ZX10r, zx1kr?

Not likely, I've got my literbike covered for the time being. I'll stack this puppy up against any of the 08s' & leave them wishing they hadn't came to the show. Just got thru with engine build for this bike that's as close to a close to a Graves Superbike engine as you'll get that'll still be streetable. Lots of other hi-end goodies. She weighs about 410lb wet. est.185 to190rwhp after break-in. WICKED is an understatement!
And no I'm not brand loyal. If after the tests post that I've found to be most accurate & not bais by advertising funds, the CBR reigns supreme. I might end up in a Honda dealer on a whim. But, if it comes down to splitting hairs. I'd probably end up on a ZX10.

I'm not talking AMA superbike. The R & D factor is soooo far ahead of the curve for the Gixxer it's off the charts.

But, superstock should be interesting. Are the even running 1000cc superstock this year?

I was lookin' at those pics of the R1 & they were old. These are the finished R1.
And some shameless promotion. LOL.....

Sorry, not trying to jack the thread.

Just figured I'd give ya the finished product. Notice the "natural metal finish" on the cylinder section of the motor. The only giveaway of what lurks inside.
