Oil weight

I bought some 20-50w oil for my 08 Concours after it being suggest by a friend....Will it be ok for summer only riding?

I would not use it, it is really designed for big v-twins or large bore long stroke singles. Understand that oil friction reduces power, and the 20w cold rating just means that it will takke longer for the oil to get where it needs to go, especially the top end. These bikes are made to tight tolerances. 10w40 synth (for m/c use, not car) is the way to go.... I use amsoil 10w40 amsoil, changed 1x a year or every 3k.

i put 10w40 etech 100 motul. i will probally go close to the books oil change intervil with synthetic.( isay that now but may drop it at 4000mi anyway)
