Tyre sensor battery

Hi, I keep getting Tyre Sensor battery low alarms both front and rear as my bike is a 2007 model. The dealer says it will cost $A300 each to replace, this is just rediculous for a 1.5v battery similar to a watch battery. It is spot welded to the sensor and only comes as a complete unit and is located in the valve on the wheel. Has anybody come up with a answer to this problem. regards Bluegum down under
