2007-03-03 00:21
28 -year -old Rhiannon Lucente was introduced to motorcycling by her motorcycle-racing Mum in 2000, and within a year she was tied for a roadrace championship. Now only a short time later, she is slated to make women-in-motorcycling-history.

After some last minute obstacles, WIMA USA member, Lucente, of Team West/OneFastGirl Racing, is pleased to announce her entry in the AMA Daytona 200. How many women have actually raced the Daytona 200? How many have finished the grueling event? We don't know, but we aim to find out!

For the 2007 season, One Fast Girl will be teaming up with Rob Oliva under the Lithium Motorsports canopy. The program will kick off with the CCS/ASRA weekend at Daytona and will include select events with CCS, ASRA, CRA, WERA and AMA, with Rhiannon aboard a 2007 Suzuki GSXR 600.

Considering that the season almost didn't happen for the Team West/OneFastGirl Racing program, they would like to offer special thanks to: Robert Jensen, Rob Oliva, Matthias Schaub, Bill Syfan, Chris Jensen, Brit Lynn, Mike Fitzgerald, Ron Wood and Joe Marasco. These individuals helped make sure they had a machine to race, it was race prepped in record time, and parts were available. Rhiannon would also like to extend a special thank you to Sam West for making this opportunity available for her.

Team West/OneFastGirl Racing will be receiving sponsorship support from: Michelin, Leo Vince, LithiumMotorsports, Morse Racing, Spyder Leatherworks, Spiegler, Esjot, SBS, Komodo, EK, MSP Suzuki, Moto-R, Thermosman Suspension, Arai, Ohlins, Café del Mondo, King Avenue 5, Photographic Creations, The Speed Factory, Mirror Images and WIMA USA.
