KTM, the world leader in the production of sports-oriented motorcycles has offered the international media a taste of what is in store in the Austrian manufacturer's new generation of Sportminicycles, Motocross and Enduro bikes for 2010.
Some 80 test riders from prominent international motorcycle publications are at the renowned Moto Club Baglioni in Citta di Castello in Italy with KTM officials for the international media launch, a venue that provides a combination of perfect MX and Enduro tracks and beautiful Umbrian scenery.
Interest was heightened for members of the media by the presence of former World Champion Giovanni Sala and extreme Enduro maestro Taddy Blazusiak, winner of the Erzberg Rodeo Hare Scramble. They join guest to test the 2010 models, a true indication that KTM remains firmly committed to its "Ready to Race" motto.
The 2010 range of machines spans everything from the 50 SX for the youngest offroad enthusiast, through to "Everts-proven" Motocrossers (MX bikes that have the thumbs up from 10-times world champion and KTM MX Factory Team Boss Stefan Everts) right up to the powerful 530 EXC Enduro. These are cutting edge motorcycles that have been updated with many new engine and chassis features, especially for the dominant two- and four stroke range. They represent proof that KTM delivers just the right machine for every offroad challenge -from bikes for fun seeking enthusiasts to those for genuine race fanatics. All bikes in the 2010 roll-out are a direct result of the rich experience garnered by KTM factory teams on the world's toughest international tracks. They are manufactured in the very best tradition of KTM dedication and technical excellence.
Media represented were also introduced to the KTM EXC Six Days version, a bike created to celebrate the legendary annual Six Days Enduro event, this year taking place in Figueira Da Foz, Portugal, from October 12-17. As usual KTM will be present in force to write another chapter in the success story of the Austrian brand, but also to offer professional support for private KTM riders out to pit their skills against those of the experts.
