Trial is an original discipline which demands skill and regularity. In contrast to the other motorcycling
disciplines, in trial, speed is not the key to victory!

The disciplines consist of crossing natural (Outdoor) or artificial (Indoor) obstacles, regrouped in sections,
while obtaining the least penalties possible.

For the first time in 2009, the Eurosport Group and the FIM (Fédération Internationale de Motocyclisme)
joined forces to ensure, at the FIM Indoor and Outdoor Trial World Championships, an international
television broadcast on the Eurosport channels, distributed in more than fifty European countries and in
Asia. In addition, the FIM has assigned to the Eurosport group, the international distribution of its

In 2010, the collaboration between Eurosport and the FIM will continue in order to consolidate the current
distribution and to spread the exposure of the FIM Indoor and Outdoor Trial World Championships in
South Africa, in the Middle East and North America.
