The Japanese Grand Prix held at the famous Twin Ring circuit - Motegi, which marked round three of the 2010 SPEA FIM Trial World Championship welcomed a very special guest on the second day of the competition. Takanobu Ito is the seventh President and Chief Executive Officer of Honda Motor Co, a position he has held since late June 2009 and was an interested visitor at today’s Trial. The SPEA FIM Trial World Championship is unique in the fact it is the only series where the winner is not determined by speed, but skill alone.

Ito who joined Honda back in 1978, spent time with the Repsol Montesa team and enjoyed the opportunity to speak with current FIM Trial World champion and series leader Toni Bou and his Japanese team mate Takahisa Fujinami. A keen motorcyclist, Ito did not need a second invitation to sample the company’s four stroke Trial machine and looked very much at home on the Cota 4RT as he followed the second day of action in Motegi. Whilst Bou had won the opening day of the Japanese GP, unfortunately he was unable to repeat this in front of the Honda boss as he played second fiddle to Adam Raga – Gas Gas on day two.
