While the nation's fastest amateur motocross riders lay it all on the line at legendary Loretta Lynn's Ranch, several special events will generate some excitement of their own at the 2010 AMA Amateur National Motocross Championship. Kicking-off Monday, August 2, the six-day event will be a showcase of the future stars of the sport while also marking the return of some of Loretta Lynn's most successful graduates.

On Tuesday, August 3, world famous trials rider Geoff Aaron will host three riding demonstrations at the Red Bull Zone at Town Square. Aaron's technical skill and tremendous bike control is something that has to be seen to be believed. The first demo will take place at 10 a.m. ET, followed by displays at 12 p.m. ET and 3 p.m. ET, respectively. Later that evening, the opening day of motos will be brought to a fun-filled conclusion as AMSOIL hosts the Celebrity Pit Bike Invitational at 7:30 p.m. ET.

Three-time AMA Motocross Champion and 2005 Loretta Lynn's National Champion Ryan Villopoto will pay a visit to the track on Wednesday, August 4. The Monster Energy Kawasaki rider will join 2009 Horizon Award Winner Dean Wilson for a Thor autograph session at the Thor Tower, beginning at 10 a.m. ET. During the day's intermission, both riders will help debut the newest lineup of 2011 Kawasaki's before taking part in another autograph session at 1:30 p.m. ET from the Kawasaki Team Green pit area.

Thursday, August 5, marks the return of the greatest motocross rider of all time to Loretta Lynn's. Nine-time AMA Amateur National Champion Ricky Carmichael will take a break from his busy NASCAR schedule to help Suzuki introduce its 2011 lineup during intermission. From there, the G.O.A.T. will take part in a special autograph session at 1:30 p.m. ET from the Suzuki pit area.

With so much history and tradition, Loretta Lynn's is often the place where the biggest names of years past return to pay their respects to the AMA Amateur National Motocross Championship and pay a visit to some old friends while making several new ones along the way.

The 29th Annual AMA Amateur National Motocross Championship commences on August 2-7, 2010 from Loretta Lynn's Ranch in Hurricane Mills, Tenn.
