In less than a year from now, the international specialist trade, importers and, of course, motorcycle enthusiasts will once again gather at INTERMOT Cologne, the International Motorcycle, Scooter and Bicycle Fair, which will take place from 3rd to 7th October 2012. More than 1,000 exhibiting companies from about 40 countries are expected to attend the sector’s leading trade fair. The key players of the world of motorised two-wheelers have confirmed early on that they will be taking part.

As a result, visitors can already look forward to the impressive presentations that will be organized by BMW Motorrad, Honda, Kawasaki, Suzuki and Yamaha, as well as by Ducati, Harley-Davidson, Triumph and KTM. In a joint statement, Reiner Brendicke, President of the German Motorcycle Industry Association (IVM), and Metin Ergül, Member of the Koelnmesse Executive Board, announced that “talks that we have held to date with the leading vehicle manufacturers have made it clear that we can expect to see many world premieres at the upcoming INTERMOT Cologne. These premieres will further stimulate the market and thus continue the positive market development of recent months.” INTERMOT Cologne Project Manager Ingo Riedeberger added that “the mood in the international clothing and supplier industry is also upbeat despite the generally difficult economic environment, and many companies have already announced they will be taking part in the fair.” Among the companies that will once
again exhibit in Cologne are key manufacturers from the tyre industry.

Next October, suppliers will be presenting the latest motorcycles, scooters and bicycles, as well as the most important new products in the areas of electric mobility, accessories, clothing, replacement parts, customizing, travel and workshop equipment on an exhibition area measuring almost 110,000 m². INTERMOT Cologne will have a lot more to offer besides the impressive exhibitor presentations. As an event-oriented trade fair, it will feature shows, stunts and many other highlights focusing on the themes of motorcycles, scooters and bicycles. The exhibition centre’s entire outdoor area — a total of about 75,000 m² — will be made available. This is where visitors can test new models on the various test tracks, have their initial encounters with electrically powered vehicles and enjoy breathtaking stunt shows.
