Dorna Sports S.L., television and commercial rights holder of the MotoGP™ World Championship, has reached an agreement with Mondo, a leading manufacturer of sports-floor and seating systems for stadiums and large arenas, to become Circuit Equipment Services Provider for the 2012, 2013 and 2014MotoGP™ seasons.

This collaboration will see the on-track offices of Dorna Sports and the first pit-box, used for official scrutineering purposes, fitted out with Mondo flooring, as well as seats from its brand Venelli Seating. Among the circuits that host MotoGP™ races, four already feature Venelli Seating, including Assen, Mugello, Sachsenring and Sepang.

The relationship between MotoGP™ and Mondo dates back to 2009, as in August that year, the Italian company installed the artificial turf at the run-off areas of the Circuito de Jerez de la Frontera. Since 2011 Mondo has been researching and developing the next generation of this turf. The resulting evolution, already approved and adopted by the FIM, has been installed at the Motorland Aragón circuit near Alcañiz.

Maurizio Stroppiana, President and CEO of MONDO SpA

"Having become Circuit Equipment Services Providers of MotoGP™ is a good omen, as it means our floors are becoming increasingly popular in different areas and not only in athletics, where wehave been the leading supplier for the last ten Olympics. The popularity ofMotoGP ™ adds yet further proof of the quality found in our products and underlines the professionalism of our company."

Pau Serracanta, Managing Director, Commercial Area of Dorna Sports

"I'm really happy that a premier class racing series like MotoGP™ has partnered with Mondo, also leader in its sector. Mondo is a company that has always been linked to major sporting events like the Olympics, which is proof of its experience and expertise to handle such occasions on a large scale. I am fully convinced that the B2B opportunities offered by this agreement will be very fruitful in the future."
