SPY OMEN MX GOGGLE HAPPY TO WIDEN YOUR OUTLOOK2013-06-14 09:06
SPY® is HAPPY to unveil the most technologically advanced motocross goggle yet—the Omen MX—featuring an enlarged eyeport offering the biggest field of view ever, and the all-new SPY RISE® ventilation system to ensure fog-free vision. Developed with rampaging supercross rookie Justin Barcia and the legendary SPY motocross team, the Omen MX is a modern goggle that has everything you need, and nothing you don’t.
“Being a part of the development of the Omen goggle has been an awesome experience,” says Justin Barcia. “I wanted to see how far we could push it on the technical side, and SPY nailed it. The view is awesome, and as much as I sweat, the RISE® ventilation system keeps me cool and the new face foam gives it the perfect fit. I’m psyched with my new Omen signature colorway, too.”
The Omen MX is the first goggle to feature SPY’s new anti-fog RISE® ventilation system—patented design that forces airflow through subframe vents above the goggle (and in-between helmet), creating a vacuum that pulls hot air from behind the goggle lens. When combined with the most comfortable high-performance quad-layer Isotron™ face foam SPY’s ever put on a goggle, RISE® ensures fog-free vision regardless of the weather conditions.
A first in SPY’s MX line, the Omen MX features outriggers—compatible with the most popular helmets on the market—to help uniformly disperse pressure by seating the goggle perfectly on your face. The Omen MX comes stock with a tough, scratch-resistant Spectra™ lens containing multiple layers of mirror to keep bright light toned down, a bonus tear-off compatible clear Lexan™ lens, and a shatterproof, detachable noseguard made of co-injected nylon to protect your beak from rocks, debris, and other airborne shrapnel.
“The Omen is hands down our best goggle ever,” says Kyle Krause, SPY MX team manager. “Building off the success and performance of our Klutch and Whip goggles, we improved the venting and fit, and opened up the field of view for a huge peripheral line of sight. We’re stoked to release this goggle so our fans and riders can hold their vision wide open!”
MSRP for the SPY Omen MX goggle—available in six colors—ranges from $80 to $90 USD and can be found at http://www.spyoptic.com/omen-mx/d/1397_c_300 or a SPY dealer near you.
