TLD’s Seely Propels To Podium Finish at Round 3 of Monster Energy Supercross

2017-01-22 18:22
Troy Lee Designs rider Cole Seely put in his best ride of the season at Angel Stadium where he finished on the podium in third. His first time on the podium in 2017 also helped propel him into third overall in the championship standings.

While Seely didn’t post the fastest lap time during qualifying, he was able to quickly transfer to the main event through the heat race. Lining up well for the main event, Seely was one of the first bikes through the first turn. He settled into third and was able to hold off pressure throughout the 20 minutes plus one lap main event.

“My goal after starting the season off the podium was to put in solid rides so I can be in the mix for the point’s standings,” said Seely. “It’s always good to walk away with the podium, but we’re right there when it comes to the overall standings. I know I have plenty to work on and I’m looking forward to building off this finish.”

The Monster Energy Supercross travels outside of Southern California for the first time on January 28th, taking the riders to University of Phoenix Stadium in Glendale, Arizona.

Seely wore the SE Air Phantom Black and White racewear during practice and then switched it up to the SE Corsa Red and Yellow racewear for the evening. He was also sporting an SE4 helmet. See more of the 2017 gear sets and the 2017 Moto Helmets online and at your local TLD retailer.
