Team Babbitt’s/Monster Energy/AMSOIL Kawasaki presented by AP Designs kicked Saturday evening off on the right foot with Gavin Faith and Gared Steinke transferring out of their Heat Races in second and third consecutively, while teammate Travis Sewell won the Last Chance Qualifier.

Before the Main Events were underway, the defending AMSOIL Arenacross Champion, Faith raced to his fourth consecutive Rocky Mountain ATV/MC Head-2-Head Challenge victory.

Faith carried that momentum into the first 250AX Class Main Event by securing the holeshot and never looking back, going on to claim his first win of the night. Steinke started back in ninth place, but quickly raced his KX™250F into fifth place by Lap 6 where he’d remain until the checkers. Sewell went on to finish 11th.

When the gate dropped on 250AX Main Event 2, Faith exited Turn 1 in second. The fans received their fair share of entertainment as Faith kept the pressure on the leader for eight long laps before diving to the inside of a corner and taking over the lead. Faith would finish 1-1 to capture his second overall of the season. Steinke raced to an impressive fifth overall (5-5) and Sewell finished 11th, with a score of 11-7.

“Everything came together tonight,” said Faith. “We’re five rounds in now and I’m really beginning to feel my groove and hit my marks. The whole team has been working hard on getting my bike set up perfect for each and every round and I’m stoked to be able to show them it’s all worth it.”

“It was another great night,” said Steinke. “We made a few small changes after qualifying that made a huge difference in my heat. I got decent starts all night and felt I rode strong and consistent through both mains. I’m stoked to finish top-5.”

“We made lots of improvements tonight,” said Sewell. “I’m continuing to improve each and every week. I know my fitness is there, I just need to back it up with better starts. It’s a long season and I’ve got lots of time to grow.”
