St Louis Up Next For RCH/Yoshimura/Suzuki Factory Racing

2017-03-31 15:04
With just two races left before the first and only weekend off for Monster Energy AMA Supercross, an FIM World Championship, RCH/Yoshimura/Suzuki Factory Racing turns its attention towards the Dome at America’s Center tomorrow night.

As one of the most intense and hotly contested two-wheel championships across the globe, Monster Energy Supercross grinds out an exhausting 17 races in 18 weeks. With little room for error and practically no time off to allow their bodies to recover without taking an unrecoverable hit in the points, RCH riders Broc Tickle and Justin Bogle steam into St. Louis this weekend with high expectations.

In four previous St. Louis 450SX starts, Tickle has a best finish of ninth coming in 2015 while earning a steady 11.25 average finish. After notching back-to-back top eights in the last two weeks, the rider of the No. 20 Suzuki RM-Z450 is ready to up his game in “The Lou” tomorrow night.

“Moving forward I need to keep focusing on my starts,” commented Tickle, the senior member of Suzuki’s RM Army. “I’m looking forward to St. Louis. There’s always some good traction there. Honestly, I’m looking forward to the rest of the races. I’m feeling confident. The bike is working really well. We’ve made adjustments every weekend and those adjustments are always in the right direction. I’m still focusing on the start, on the first lap, and coming around in a good position.”

Tickle is currently ninth in Monster Energy Supercross points and has moved up seven spots in the standings since his 16th-place finish in the season opener. His 130 points place him three ahead of 10th-place Dean Wilson and just one point behind eighth-place and two-time series champion Chad Reed.

Last week in Detroit, Bogle was collected in an early incident in the main event which ultimately cost him one lap, but he stayed the course and soldiered home to finish 18th. The rider of the No. 19 Suzuki RM-Z450 comes into St. Louis 18th in points after missing Rounds 3-4 after a nasty crash at the series second stop in Anaheim, Calif.

The 2014 Eastern Regional 250 SX Class Champion logged his career-best effort aboard a 450 last season in St. Louis where he notched a strong fourth-place finish. Bogle has three previous 250SX Class starts at the Dome at America’s Center with his best finish of second coming in 2014. Over those same three starts, the Cushing, Okla., rider logged an impressive third-place average finish.

“St. Louis has always been a good race for me,” offered Bogle. “I had the best finish of my 450 career in St. Louis last year and I don’t think I ever finished outside the top three on a 250. It’s just one of those places that’s been good for me so it’s hard not to be pumped up about this weekend. The last couple of weekends have been a struggle so the plan is to get that turned around tomorrow night.”

Before the gate drops at the track, Tickle and Bogle will meet fans and sign autographs at Big St. Charles Motorsports, tonight from 6-7 p.m. Located just 25 minutes west of the heart of St. Louis off Interstate 70, Big St. Charles Motorsports is a full service powersports dealership that offers a unique combination of volume, passion, commitment and customer care when it comes to both sales and service.

Round 13 of Monster Energy AMA Supercross, an FIM World Championship, will be televised live on FS1 Saturday, April 1, beginning at 8 p.m. Eastern Daylight Time, 5 p.m. Pacific.
