The flyaways begin: McPhee fired up for Motegi

John McPhee took a solid sixth place at the Aragon GP, setting him up well for the next stage of the season: the triple-header flyaway races, which go from Japan to Australia to Malaysia on three consecutive weekends. First up it's the Twin Ring Motegi.

Motegi is a track characterised by zones of hard braking and hard acceleration. Eight right- and six left-handed corners make up the venue, with the longest straight measuring up at 762m. McPhee has a number of top ten results at the track already, including an impressive fourth place back in 2014.

The battle for more points continues on Sunday, with McPhee back in the top six of the title fight and looking to move forward - beginning with Motegi.
John McPhee: "It's always a nice part of the season when we come away for these three overseas races. I love them all and starting with Japan is always fun! This place has been good to me in the past and it's somewhere I really enjoy to ride. So I'm looking forward to getting out there on track tomorrow."
