2017-11-12 12:15
FIM MotoGP Stewards Panel
NOTIFICATION OF SANCTION
To: Livio Loi, No. 11 of the Moto3 Class
Dear Sir,
According to the Sporting Rules of the 2017 FIM GP World Championship Regulations and the FIM
Disciplinary and Arbitration Code, we inform you that a sanction has been inflicted upon you with a hearing.
Motive
On 11 November 2017 during the Moto3 Qualifying session of the GRAN PREMIO MOTUL DE LA COMUNITAT
VALENCIANA, you were found to be riding slowly in more than 3 sectors in excess of the 110% limit of your
fastest sectors.
This contravenes the specific instructions given to all Moto3 teams on 12 October 2017, and it is considered
irresponsible riding causing danger to other competitors. It is therefore an infringement of Article 1.21.2 of
the FIM World Championship Grand Prix Regulations.
Sanction
For the above reasons and being the fourth offense of related slow riding this season, the FIM MotoGP
Stewards Panel has imposed on you a penalty of starting the race from the pit lane for the Moto3 Race of the
GRAN PREMIO MOTUL DE LA COMUNITAT VALENCIANA.
Right of Appeal
According to Articles 3.4.2, 3.4.6, and 3.4.7 of the FIM World Championship Grand Prix Regulations, you
have the right to appeal against this decision of the MotoGP Stewards Panel to the FIM Appeal Stewards.
However, the decision regarding the grid penalty is final. A statement of appeal must be made within 1 hour
from the date and time of this notification, and accompanied by a security deposit of €1320. The appeal can
be lodged with IRTA who may also arrange for guarantee of the security deposit payment.
Sincerely,
FIM MotoGP Stewards Panel
