Kawasaki Team Green™ Captures Eight Titles in Freestone

2018-03-27 08:17
Monster Energy® Kawasaki Team Green teammates Garrett Marchbanks, Seth Hammaker and Lance Kobusch competed in the 250 A Pro Sport and Open Pro Sport classes. Fans lined the fences and cheered as the future motocross and supercross stars took off. The No. 182 of Marchbanks proved to be unstoppable in “The Lone Star State” by winning four of the six races en route to both the 250 A Pro Sport and Open Pro Sport championships. Hammaker showcased his raw speed and talent by finishing second overall in the 250 A Pro Sport class and fourth in the Open Pro Sport class. Teammate Kobusch went on to finish eighth in both pro classes.

“It was a good week,” said Marchbanks. “I started off the week a little slow, but turned myself around by grabbing some holeshots and moto wins on Thursday and two more wins on Friday to come home with both pro championships. I really felt like myself the last two days and I believe it showed on the racetrack.”

Kawasaki rider Jesse Flock was another standout rider who rode impressively throughout the week on his KX250F. Flock raced with fearless speed and style around the Freestone racetrack and went on to finish second in the 450 B Limited class and captured third place finishes in the 450 B and 250 B Limited classes. Along with the No. 64 of Doc Smith who captured the 450 C Junior (12-18) championship, secured two second place finishes in the 250 C (12+) Limited and 250 C (12+) classes and a third place in 450 C (12+).
“It was a very safe and successful week at Freestone,” said Team Green Manager Ryan Holliday. “Everyone rode well and kept it on two wheels, which at the end of the day is the most important factor for us and all the families involved. It’s always a pleasure to race at this facility, the whole Freestone race track crew did a great job and we look forward to returning in 2019.”
