Please join us. Taquitos Mexican Restaurant 923 N Main St. Located across the street from the front entrance to the Sports Complex, it's very convenient for people who are spending Friday night at the track. Hours Party: 6 PM - 9 PM Check-In & Registration: 6 PM - 8 PM Check-In If you've already registered, you can pick up your green Zaden wristband, medallion and race day packet. Registration This is your final chance to register for the event. While late registration may be available on race day, it will cost you more money and you'll be in the slow line. NOT RECOMMENDED. Awards Presentation Directly following the conclusion of the racing we will present awards in the Pendleton Whisky Saloon. No, there is no stocked bar, rather it's a building named after one of their sponsors. We will be grilling dinner fare for all, but we ask that you provide your beverage of choice. We'll have a nice atmosphere, set up with tables and chairs, where we all can relax and enjoy each other's company. It's all about the racing family. Pro Vintage Class There has been a bit of confusion about this class. The idea was to have pro riders race on vintage bikes as an exhibition class. Lots of people had shown interest in seeing just how fast a vintage flat track bike can be ridden. And we know of many vintage bike owners who want to see their bike ridden by a fast pro. We will pay purse money and we think we can budget $500 if we get enough interest in the class. Reminder on Framer Class We have decided to merge the modern vintage and twins into one class called "Framer". We do not have adequate entries in either class to make a full grid, so this change is to create one larger class. The description of the class is: Vintage Modern: Pre-2000 single or twin, air-cooled, Age 18+. The singles will have the advantage on the small tracks and the twins on the larger tracks. Thanks for the riders who contacted us to help craft this change. 2018 Series Schedule June 30th: Santa Rosa Short Track: This is our next event and it's shaping up to be a big one. We've got Sonoma County Harley Davidson and Bear Republic Brewing as two large sponsors and a live band, plus lots of off-track entertainment. July 14th: Humboldt Half Mile: This event has all the makings of a classic. Cory Rich built an epic race track and we had a huge fan turnout. We have plans for a custom bike show and a local casino will a sponsor and race headquarters. Our goal is 150 entries and a spectator sellout. Aug. 25th: Carson City Short Track: Sell out crowds, huge rider turnout and always a new theme. This year is the "Pro Deuce Invitational" where eight pro riders will battle for the crown, elimination style for 5,000 in purse money. Add $5,000 purse for the Pro Singles race and you've got $10,000 on the line if you are a pro rider. Add the "Running of the Buls" and their $1,500 purse and we've got a pretty rich event. Sept 7th: Kings Speedway, Hanford, 1/4 mile: This will be our wildest event of the year. Combine Super Hooligans and the World Surfing League. What? The WSL is bringing a round of their international surf competition to Surf Ranch at Lemoore. Roland Sands Design is bringing the Super Hooligans. And WFT brings it's series show and makes it all happen. It should be a helluva hullabaloo. Oct: 2018: Awards Banquet & Race: We've decided that our Awards Banquet should honor the recipients shortly after the end of the season, instead of months later. Plus, the weather's better. We're working on some fun ideas, and we welcome yours. Western Flat Track Annual Membership In 2018, everyone who competes at a WFT event must be a member. The cost is $25, notably less than other promoters who require memberships. We no longer require an an AMA membership ($49) so you'll save $24 this year over last year. Rocky Mountain Gift Certificates WFT members will receive $15 gift certificates for every even in which they pre-enter. If you attend every race, that's $90, more than triple your membership price.
