Cianciarulo and Marchbanks Return As Monster Energy Pro Circuit Kawasaki Heads to Seattle2019-03-20 15:22
Monster Energy Pro Circuit Kawasaki’s Adam Cianciarulo and Garrett Marchbanks return to action this weekend as the series makes its annual visit to the Pacific Northwest. Rain doesn’t look like it will be as much of a factor as in years past so the riders are hoping for a nearly dry race inside CenturyLink Field in Seattle. Cianciarulo enters the race on a four-race win streak while the team is enjoying an eight-race win streak on the heels of Austin Forkner’s win in Indianapolis.
The last time Cianciarulo hit the track, he came out victorious among both the east and west coast riders. Now it’s back to an outdoor stadium and the factors the weather can bring. As the season has hit its stride, Cianciarulo has come into a rhythm on the track that he’s hoping to use to his advantage on Saturday.
“It was great getting the win at the showdown and that always helps bring confidence into your next race,” said Cianciarulo. “It was strange to have some time off, race one race and then have more time off, but we’ve been able to keep up the pace and train hard to close out the season. We don’t really know how any of the weather will affect the weekend, so I’m just coming in ready to tackle whatever comes our way.”
Marchbanks earned a podium finish in the showdown a few weeks ago but wasn’t able to capitalize on the momentum in Atlanta. He’s ready to put that race in the past and bring home another podium this weekend in Seattle.
“It was a bummer to not finish how I wanted to at the last race and I’ve had a few weeks to sit on that and figure out how to get better,” said Marchbanks. “My confidence is there and I obviously did well at the last mud race, so I’m prepared for whatever conditions Seattle decides to throw our way.”
The Monster Energy Pro Circuit Kawasaki riders will be signing autographs on Friday, March 22 from 6 - 7 p.m. at Bellevue Motorsports in Bellevue, Washington.
Saturday’s race from CenturyLink Field will be broadcast LIVE on NBC Sports starting on Saturday, March 23 at 10 p.m. ET.
