Vierge and Dixon ready for another round at MotorLand Aragón

Xavi Vierge and Jake Dixon have another race at the MotorLand Aragón circuit this weekend, as the PETRONAS Sprinta Racing Moto2 pair prepare for the final event in the October triple header: the Gran Premio de Teruel.

Vierge, who rode with two fractured feet last time out, has been continuing his physiotherapy and is hoping to have recovered further ahead of this weekend. The Spaniard worked with his crew to alter the bike to be more sympathetic to his injuries, and will be aiming to finish the second event at the circuit with a stronger result, before enjoying the short break.

Team-mate Dixon, who goes into this event buoyed by achieving his best Moto2 qualifying and race results to date and with the announcement of his contract extension, will be hoping to progress one step further and finish on the podium. The Brit has shown he is a force to be reckoned with around the MotorLand Aragón circuit and is eager to prove that again this weekend.

Friday’s Moto2 action will kick off with Free Practice 1 at 11.55am local time (5.55pm MYT), with the Gran Premio de Teruel culminating in the 21-lap race at 2.30pm local time (9.30pm MYT).

The team worked really hard last weekend to adapt the bike and make me feel more comfortable on it and it did help, but still throughout the race I wasn’t able to maintain the best position on the bike, especially in the left corners. We knew it wouldn’t be easy, but still it was valuable to gather data which we can use again this weekend. I am still sore but the pain is much less than it was going into last weekend. I have been able to rest between the two races which helps a lot, so I am hoping for more race performance this weekend.
