Junior Trials Class Created for 2021 EnduroCross Series

2021-09-13 03:14
The GEICO AMA EnduroCross series will have a new class for 2021 aimed at developing young riders. The Junior Trials class will be limited to riders that are 12 to 17 years of age competing on Trials bikes. The first five rounds will be used to qualify riders for the final championship race in Denver on Saturday, October 30th.

Trials bikes provide a great way to learn the fundamentals of motorcycle control, which helps develop the skills to take on technical terrain. Colton Haaker, Cody Webb and Taddy Blazusiak have combined to win the last twelve AMA EnduroCross championships and all three of those riders have roots in Trials competition.

“GasGas, Sherco and Beta have all embraced the idea of bringing back a Trials bike class to EnduroCross and we collectively decided to limit it to amateur youth riders,” said Tod Hammock, president and founder of Cycle City Promotions. “This class is aimed at developing the skills of the younger riders and will allow them to compete inside an arena full of fans to show off the capabilities of Trials bikes.”
