Monster Energy Pro Circuit Kawasaki Heads to the Bay Area with Hammaker and Shimoda2022-01-13 11:56
Monster Energy Pro Circuit Kawasaki’s Seth Hammaker comes off an impressive runner-up ride at the season opener and is looking to keep his confidence high for Round 2. His teammate, Jo Shimoda is looking for a rebound race as the series returns to RingCentral Coliseum for the first time in two years. Both young riders have yet to race inside the well-loved stadium in Oakland, California, and are looking forward to making good memories in the Bay Area.
With only one supercross season under his belt, Hammaker is still getting used to racing under the lights with sold-out crowds. He came out swinging to prove he is ready for a championship fight. Teammate Shimoda had plenty of speed, but had to use it to race through the pack after a tough start. Each rider will be working hard during the week to make an impact in Oakland.
“Anaheim 1 went well for us. Seth brought home a second-place and after going over the video on Monday, we’ve identified some areas to work on this week. Unfortunately, we didn't get to see what Jo is truly capable of at Anaheim. I know he was very disappointed and is eager to get to Oakland. Oakland has been good to us and we're happy to see it back on the schedule. The last five times we've been there, Pro Circuit has won three times and been runner up the other two times.” - Iain Southwell, interim Team Manager.
