Monster Energy Pro Circuit Kawasaki’s Shimoda Looks to Close Out Season on the Podium

2022-09-13 09:57
Monster Energy Pro Circuit Kawasaki’s Jo Shimoda, Cameron McAdoo, Seth Hammaker, and Ryder DiFrancesco are back in California and preparing for the final race of the season at Fox Raceway in Pala, California. After 11 hard-fought rounds, Shimoda finds himself in second overall and looking to add to the five moto wins he’s earned this season. All of the riders are capable of turning out top-10 finishes, which they will be looking to do so they can cap off their season on a high note.

The whole season has showcased Shimoda’s ever-increasing confidence and speed to contest for moto wins at each round. The final round should be no different as he readies to secure second overall in the standings. Teammate McAdoo will have to overcome any hesitancy with a track that has bitten him multiple times over the past few years. Hammaker continues to get back up to speed, while DiFrancesco will enjoy his first time on Fox Raceway with a professional field after taking the Moto Combine win in 2021.

“We had another good weekend with Jo at Ironman, but his first moto starts still need some work. That will be the focus for him this week. Cameron is still struggling with a nagging injury, and another week of healing will do him good. Seth's return wasn't as good as we had hoped. As with Cameron, another week of recovery will be good. We brought Ryder in for the last four rounds to expose him to the level required to achieve success in the pro ranks. He continues to gain that experience. This weekend’s race at Fox Raceway looks like it's going to be over 100 degrees. We will fit the bike with a radiator fan and make some ECU adjustments to suit the conditions.”
