Motocross News: KTM ink deal with Jobe

Former five times Motocross World Champion Georges Jobe has become part of the factory Red Bull KTM team for the 2006 FIM World Championship.

The Belgian is undertaking a new liaison and rider advisory role and will work as a link between the factory and the seven members of the works team in MX1 and MX2 for the forthcoming season.

"I am really happy to come onboard and be a part of the big family that is KTM," commented 44 year old Jobe, who signed a contract in the company of Kurt Nicoll yesterday. "We have had some good news in recent weeks with the confirmation of some excellent riders like Pichon and Tortelli. There are also the young guys like Barragan, De Reuver and Rattray and for me it is a great opportunity to work with the team and help push them harder towards victory."

Jobe will be in attendance at Ernee, France this weekend for the 59th Motocross of Nations.
